The Ned Reeb Memorial “Last Ditch” Meet, the last non-B meet before Regional Championships, took place February 3^rd – 5^th at Columbus Academy.  NAAC was represented by 63 swimmers who, despite the hard training that continued up to the meet, took third place overall among ten area teams with two-thirds of our swimmers earning points for the team (i.e. top 12 finish).  Our young swimmers continued to perform well in the pool with 39 individual events swum at Ohio Junior Olympic Standards or better and 14 of those qualified for Central Zone Standards.

 NAAC had two individual age group high point winners:
Ava Lachey for Girls 8 & Under and Pearson Spychalski for Boys 11 -12. 

New Albany also had two new club records set at this meet:

• Ava Lachey set a new Girls 8 & Under 200 Freestyle record in 2:43.57 that was previously held by her big sister, Mia, who set it last year at the 2011 Kelly German Meet in 2:44.68.

• Ava Lachey, Jillian Bingman, Emma Yakem, Julia Zaper set a new girls 8 and under 200 Freestyle Relay Record in 2:36.16 eclipsing the record from 2009!
